The ingredients needed to make Meatballs:
- Get 1/2 pound ground beef
- Get 1/2 pound italian sausage
- Take 1 1/2 tbsp dry minced onion
- Prepare 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- Take 1 tsp garlic powder
- Prepare 1 tsp basil
- Get 1 egg
- Prepare 8 saltine crackers crushed
- Take 1/2 tsp salt
- Get 1/2 tsp pepper
We like more of a crunchy, dry meatball so these are baked in the oven without sauce but they can be simmered on the stovetop in marinara sauce, as well. In a large bowl, combine eggs, water, onion, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic and seasonings; mix well. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. I prefer meatballs slightly larger than a golf ball.
Steps to make Meatballs:
- In a large bowl mix all ingredients well. Put in a baking dish rolled into balls, should get around 20 balls.
- Bake at 375° for 20-25 min.
- Good for spaghetti, or bbq, can be frozen until needed.
Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. I prefer meatballs slightly larger than a golf ball. Coat a large saute pan with olive oil and bring to a medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides. Place them on a cookie sheet and bake.
