- Get 250 gm Tinde /apple gourd
- Take 2 onions chopped
- Take 2 tomatoes chopped
- Make ready 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

- Take 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Take 1/2 tsp garam masala
Some people often confuse it with "tindli / baby watermelon / coccinia" as both are from gourd family but they both are very different look and taste wise. Tinda, plural tinday, known as Indian round gourd or apple gourd or Indian baby pumpkin is a vegetable popular especially in South Asia. This masala tinda can be made for parties, potluck or for everyday meal. It goes very well with parathas and chapatis.
Instructions to make Tinde sabji:
- In a pressure cooker,heat oil and chopped ginger and garlic. Fry for a minute on medium flam.
- To the cooker, add chopped onion when onion turn light pink and became add chopped tomatoes. Mix well. Cook for few minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder,garam masala,salt mix well.
- Add chopped tinde in the cooker. Stir.
- Pour water for gravy as desired by you.cover the cooker with it's lid and keep on high till first whistle. After first whistle lower the flame and cook till 3 to 4 whistle.
- Remove from gas and let the pressure settle itself.
